Objective: Improve your Japanese by first acquiring a strong base and then aiming for the next level.

●Curriculum

Level based classes. A balance of speaking, listening, reading and writing with a focus on “usable” Japanese. Classes will be reorganized based on level checks every three months.

＜Basics 1＞　3 months

- Be able to read and write hiragana, katakana, 250 kanji and understand of signs (at train stations, etc)
- Master easy, everyday conversation
- Be able to ask Japanese people for help when you can`t understand something
【Lesson Contents】
Mastery of hiragana and katakana (reading and pronunciation) / Proper pronunciation, listening and notation of vocabulary and short sentences / Mastery of lesson based vocabulary / Practice Q&A based conversations / Create short sentences using learned grammar

＜Basics 2＞　3 months

- Learn to read 500 kanji and how to use a dictionary
- Be able to continue a conversation while asking question even when you don`t understand something
- Be able to easily explain about not only yourself but also your home country and your personal interests and concerns

Master all lesson based grammar / Task based listening / Practice writing essays based on lesson themes / Reading documents using learned grammar

＜Intermediate 1＞　3 months

- Be able to read 700 kanji and increase your vocabulary understanding
- Be able to participate in business related conversations
- Be able to request large amounts of information/details from Japanese people
【Lesson Contents】
Master lesson based grammar and expressions / Reading various forms of written materials ? and understand necessary items / Practice situation specific conversations (treatment expressions, polite form, etc) / Practice creating long sentences / Task based listening practice / Japanese Language Proficiency test preparation

＜Intermediate 2＞　3 months

- Be able to understand 1200 kanji and read things other than text books. You`re usable vocabulary will also increase.
- Improve your explanation skills even more and be able to freely express your opinions

Master lesson based grammar and expressions / Reading a bit more complex senteces (grasp of text structure) / Reading the newspaper, magazines and raw lesson materials / Listening to tv news and raw lesson materials / Practice creating essays using theme based text structures / Practice expressing your opinions and impressions (speech) / Japanese Proficiency Test preparation

＜Advanced 1＞　3 months + 3 months

- Understand 2100 kanji, the newspaper and other public written documents
- Be able to explain concerning issues and professional matters
- Be able to write reports and theoretical written documents

Practice lesson based grammar and expressions / Read long sentences (grasp of context , content analogy) / Listening to tv news and raw lesson materials / Reading the newspaper, magazines and raw lesson materials / Master situation based natural conversation / Interview and long sentence listening / Create theme based reports / Japanese Language Test preparation

＜Advanced2＞　3 months + 3 months

- Possess the same level and knowledge of kanji/vocabulary as a typical Japanese adult
- Be able to persuade and negotiate verbally and more specifically by writing
- Deepen your understand of Japanese people, business and culture and be able to enjoy contact with Japanese people
- Be able to speak in honorific form and write formal documents

＜Japanese Language Proficiency Test Preparation (JLPT)＞

To prepare for the JLPT, held twice a year, we focus on field specific questions, past questions and provide mock testing to ensure a higher test score. Along with usable Japanese, the result of your study abroad and learning here will be the ability to get a high score on the JLPT.
